One Art by Elizabeth Bishop
"One Art" really resonated with me, possibly because I have dealt with the loss of a close friend. I think she is saying the loss of material things whether a car key or a house or even a country is easier to deal with. It might be hard, but we will easily survive it. But the loss of a person (I am not sure if she is referring to a lover here), will be very difficult, even though it will not destroy us. I found it very moving and maybe inspirational because I feel like it is giving a positive way of dealing with loss. As if saying it will hurt but it will not break you. And that is how I try to think of the losses I have encountered, I will survive (with God's grace).
